Are passwords in Pages case sensitive?

My hint gives me my word/password, but can't get it to work. If I can rule out case sensitivity, it greatly reduces the combination of spellings (or versions of key misstrokes) I need to try. Thanks.

I read as much as I could on the subject in the community pages, before deciding to post about the case sensitivity. There were no answers to the case sensitivity question, but many did post that there was no way around the password, and if you don't figure it out: it's lost for good. That would mean for me that about 200 pages of original book material is now down the tubes.

So failure is not an option. I need to crack this case.

Thanks for the help.

No there is no way round the password it is secure because if you could easily break it then it wouldn't be secure.

No comfort but we have warned endlessly that the password really only will keep you out of your own document.

When you think about security, you do need to think of your own human frailties, keep a plan B ready.

One way may be to keep a secure record somewhere safe of your key passwords, if you really must use them in the first place. Don't make the mistake, evidenced to the contrary every day, that technology is foolproof and those assurances of protection that everybody makes that "Your security is very important to us" is any more than chin music.

Time soon to be shedding the moniker, Homo sapiens. That may have been true back 100,000 years, but seems to have worn off in the last decade or two.
