Airdrop has wrong image

When I use Airdrop between my iPad and iPhone the image that appears for Airdrop on both is my face. This is the same image that I use in my contact and in my User preference.

When I use Airdrop between either my iPhone or my iPad to my Mac (Sierra), the image that shows on the Mac is an old one. I’m pretty sure it’s one that was originally harvested from Facebook when I did a Facebook sync, which was a long time ago. I don't sync with Facebook anymore. (Settings - Internet Accounts - Facebook - Update Contacts)

I’ve tried changing the photo in Contacts on iPhone, iPad and Mac and Users on the Mac. The old image still appears on the Mac when I use Airdrop.

Any idea how to fix this?

I did a few things to fix this (it is to do with an old Facebook photo lurking somewhere).

I installed the iOS app sync.me and updated all the photos on my contacts.

I also turned on / off / on the Facebook integration in the contacts app on my Mac and made it update every minute.

Eventually I saw a second "me" pop up in the Mac contacts, occasionally showing the rogue photo.

I turned off the Facebook integration for the contacts app and was then able to delete this second version of "me".

For a while I then had the correct photo showing; now I have none; but it is better than the wrong one.
