Error -36 Airport Time Capsule

Out of nowhere my Airport Time Capsule started giving me issues. Whenever I try and open files that are saved on it, I get this error:

User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Some files will open, but most won't. I don't know what's going on and can't seem to find anything about this error. Does anybody know what can be causing this? It's not the files themselves, because if I drag and drop them to my desktop they will open from there, just not when I try and open them through external HD. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's a bug that came along with the latest update to Sierra (10.12.2)

A possible workaround might be to.......

Open AirPort Utility and click on the picture of the Time Capsule

Jot down the LAN IP address

On your Mac.....

Click anywhere on the open desktop so that the Finder menus are displayed at the top of the screen

Click the Go menu

Click Connect to Server

Enter the following in the Server Address box......

smb://LAN IPaddress from above.....example if the LAN IP address is 10.0.1.10.....enter smb://10.0.1.10

Click Connect

Enter the Time Capsule admin password

Click Connect

No guarantees.....works for some, but not others
