SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick by browser

Anyone managed to talk to a SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick 200GB using a browser? The manufacturer blurb says it's possible - as does Apple's advertising ("without using SanDisk App"), but I can't do it. I can connect to the stick's wifi ok, but when I type https://www.sandisk.com/myconnect into my browser, i get only the following :User uploaded file

No problems connecting with my iPad and my iPhone.

Thanks.

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.2), Safari 10.0.2

Hi George,

I understand that you have a wireless storage device that you're able to connect to fine with your iPhone and iPad, but you are unable to access it from your iMac with macOS Sierra. I know it's nice to be able to connect to all of your devices, so I'm happy to help.

Since you are having this issue on an iMac, it's the only one of the devices you've mentioned that has the ability to use both ethernet and Wi-Fi for internet access. Because of this if you have an ethernet cable plugged in, your iMac may be prioritizing that connection over the Wi-Fi.

Use the steps in the following article to change the priority of your adapters so that it uses the Wi-Fi connection first:

macOS Sierra: Change the order of the network ports your computer uses to connect
  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Network.

  2. Click the Action pop-up menu User uploaded file, then choose Set Service Order.

  3. Drag services into the order you want.

  4. Click OK, then click Apply to make the new settings active.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Cheers!

Thanks Chris.

I'm trying to access the drive as https://www.sandisk.com/myconnect ; is that correct?

I've tried making ethernet no 1 and wifi no 2, removing the ethernet plug in the expectation that will allow wifi to be no 1 temporarily, but it doesn't work.

I also tried making wifi no. 1 but that doesn't work either. The browser tells me it can't establish a secure connection to the server and can't load the page. N.B. I have changed the name of the SD and given it a password.

Is it not possible for my iMac to be connected to my home network by ethernet and the SD by wifi?
