Sometimes i get this (see picture), but more often I get the 3 beeps, and even sometimes the 3 long and 3 short beeps. Is it fried?
I tried replacing and cleaning both ram and battery. No luck. I tried reinstalling and different versions of OS. No luck. Sometimes it works for days, sometimes nothing works for days.
Three beeps is famous for indicating something is wrong with your RAM. It may be not properly plugged in, or it might be faulty or incompatible. RAM problems can cause the screen shot you displayed.

Unless the iMac RAM has the identical specifications as required by the MBP, your test is totally invalid and proves nothing.

Different manufacturers. One is Samsung, the other is noname. Those I am replacing in my MacBook er Kingston
