Safari Highjack January 2017
I'd like to report a scamming msg today after an unauthorised **** pop up on safari, then I was accused of viewing *********** and a demand that I purchase a £200 iTunes card, send the code to the number displayed to enable them to unlock safari on my iPhone !!!
Now I'm 68yrs and that didn't sit well with me at all, annoyed that they had done this, couldn't get rid of the demand pop up either with safari frozen !!!
What to do - think ..............
Log into Fb , search for for advert that enabled internet access, yes success .
Quickly minimise page, delete all pages, go into settings and delete briwser history, go to iCloud and change password, apparently that's where these Bas...ds got hold of my info !
Now Apple say not to worry, they did not infiltrate my personal info and I think I did well at my age to do the correct procedure to combat the intrusion.
Just wanted to say what happened today and let you all know xxx
