how to change safari default app for ftp?

I had used Cyberduck for FTP and somehow it became the default app for FTP within Safari. For example if I type ftp.domain.com Safari will ask to open Cyberduck. If I try it on another computer it will ask to open it in Finder.

How do I reset the default app to remove Cyberduck as the default and back to Finder. Cyberduck has been completely wiped from the computer including all prefs.

thank you,

Looks like some others have run into the same issue and no clear fixes, instead of messing around further with my system I decided to look into a replacement for CyberDuck which I recently dropped/deleted and which Safari was still attempting to open when it came across an FTP address. YummyFTP does what I need and fortunately has the ability to snag the persistent redirect to the missing CyberDuck and change the default to YummyFTP ( works in both Pro and Lite versions). Menu>Set as default FTP helper. I couldn't find a similar feature in FileZilla that sets it as the default FTP client and it didn't appear to be as intuitive an interface. I only need the basics functionality of an FTP client.

thanks again.

Go step by step and test.

1. Delete Caches and test.

Close all windows and quit all applications.

Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Select "Library" from the dropdown.

Library > Caches > com.apple.Safari

Right click the com.apple.Safari file and select "Move To Trash.

Close windows and relaunch Safari.

2. Delete com.apple.Safari.plist file and test.

Empty the Trash.

Quit all applications.

Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Select "Library" from the drop down.

Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist

Right click on it and select "Move it to Trash".

Restart.

Relaunch Safari and test.

If this doesn’t help, “Put Back” the com.apple.Safari.plist

Right click on the Trash icon in the Dock and select “Open”.

Right click on the com.apple.Safari.plist and select “Put Back”.

3. Repair Disk. https://support.apple.com/kb/PH22243?locale=en_US
