How do I add a printer to my iPad mini?

Okay, I looked at my printer manual (Canon MG3200) and couldn't locate any reference to air printing. When I "select printer", the screen says, "No AirPrint printers found." Does that mean my Canon is not compatible?

You don't add printers.
If the Printer is Airprint compatible and on the same Wifi network as the iPad Mini it will appear in the Print dialog on any App that supports printing.
There's nothing you need to do on the iPad.
The Canon 3200 does not appear to be AirPrint compatible as per the list if compatible printers in the link I provided above.
As Diana points out Canon offers a Print App for their non AirPrint compatible printers so you can use them with an iOS device.
