iCloud email spelled wrong

I entered yshoo.com instead yahoo.com on my iPhone iCloud. Now I'm having problem with the activation lock. i thought restoring and removing devices from the account would do go but to no avail. How can the account match if i can't even correct the spelling. Need help.

I am trying to resolve a similar problem on my wife's phone. She entered an email address upon setup with a typo on her IPhone 6S. She didn't realize it for a few months and the I-Cloud account is still not verified. It says "Verifying" at the top when you click on >settings >I-Cloud, and then finally just says "Account not verified." The only active links are "check email" or "sign out." Of course, check email won't work due to typo, so we are clicking "sign out." It then comes up with "delete from iPhone" which we would like to do. Unfortunately, it requires a password which she can't recall. Resetting password can only be done through security questions, which she also doesn't seem to recall, but we keep trying. The account gets locked and we have to wait 8 hours to try again. Looking for a way to delete and start over. Read a post that you can change your Apple ID temporarily to the "bad addresss" and then sign in and deltee from IPhone and then change back. This doesn't work because it says that bad address is not available, which is understandable. Looking for next steps while we continue to try security question answers.

literally i did all that. clicking the "sign out" thingi. trying to use my password cause i only have one account but to no avail. Now i did the recovery mode. i was hoping to have a fresh start when i do the restore. But i guess i was wrong... I'm stuck to the activation lock because obviously the iCloud doesn't exist. 😕

ok, sorry to hear that. my wife doesn't even recall setting up security questions and I'm wondering if she ever did without account verification. She says she recalls account set up by agent in the ATT store, with typo, but then never received the verification email and forgot about it. I will follow this post and see if someone can help you with solution. Good luck!
