Using data to play music?
Why does my iphone use data to play music I purchased at the itunes store? I have to continue to pay to listen to music I already payed for?

if it's a purchased files, it should download to local storage on your device.

Do you use Apple Music?
If you are subscribed to Apple Music, then you are listening to a file from the cloud and have added it to your library but not downloaded it to your device.
