Can I get a free replacement for my broken EarPods?

Recently I had gotten a 6th Generation iPod for Christmas and four days after I had received I unplugged my EarPods from the headphone jack and half of the jack from my EarPods was stuck I did not do anything at all to cause this malfunction and fortunately was able to get it out from the headphone jack with a special tool but still have EarPods that are broken and I was hoping I could get a free replacement

Hi

Apple accessories - including EarPods that are supplied with an iPod and those purchased separately - are covered by Apple's Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, but not against accidental damage or misuse.

If you believe that your EarPods qualify for a warranty replacement, contact Apple Support, make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider with a view to having them checked and to establish your available service options:

Otherwise, you will need to purchase a new set.
