I have connected my Outlook account to my iPad, iPhone and iMac, my iPhone and iMac are syncing and deleting emails like they are suppose to how ever there are some email that will not delete on my iPad, previously i have deleted the same emails off my iPhone which in turn should update and remove them off my iMac and iPad, but some just get stuck on my iPad.

I have gone through so many setting deleted my outlook account numerous amounts of times to remove the stubborn emails yet new ones keep coming up that i cannot remove... HELP!!

I had the same problem on my iPhone. I logged into the Outlook (Hotmail) web page on my desktop and clicked on Mail Settings (look for the gear icon) and then click on "Options" in the drop down menu. Next, I clicked on Accounts >> POP and IMAP and switched the setting "Let devices and apps use POP" to Yes. This revealed another setting labeled "Devices and apps that use POP can be set to delete messages from Outlook after download". I selected "Let apps and devices delete messages from Outlook" and clicked the SAVE button at the top. This immediately fixed the problem and I could see emails being deleted in the Outlook web page a few seconds after I deleted them on my iPhone. The weird thing is that the Hotmail account configuration in my iPhone is set to IMAP, not POP, yet this POP setting seems to control the delete permission for both IMAP and POP. I hope this fixes the problem.

Update...

After continuous digging, i have found something that might be worth mentioning. This issue maybe an Outlook issue not Apple. Logging into outlook on my iMac through Safari, going into "options - general - mobile devices" highlighting the issue device, and selecting the "pencil" or "edit" icon, I discovered towards the end is says "access state" this stated denied.

To over come this Outlook has a link just under it to tell you how to fix the issue, now this has changed the status to "access granted" however i will keep an eye on how things go over the next week and report back. So far it looks promising.
