This could be because of your network configuration or your proxy settings.) Good afternoon lawen21,

I understand you are not able to access your Gmail account on your MacBook Pro. You are seeing a "Connection Insecure" error message. There are a couple of things I can suggest to address this issue.

First, access your email account from Google's main website . Confirm you can sign into your account with your password. If you can sign into Google's web-based email service, check to see if there are any security updates or changes in procedures needed for your account (app specific passwords, two-factor authentication, etc.).

Next, check to see if you are running any antivirus applications. If so, disable them temporarily to see if that affects your access to your email account.

Finally, check to see if there are any invalid SSL certificates in the Keychain Access application on your Macbook Pro:

1. Launch Finder, then navigate to Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access.
2. When you open Keychain Access, you may be prompted to enter your computer admin name and password to open the lock.
3. Click on "My Certificates" on the left side of the screen.
4. If you see any certificates that have a red circle with a white X, or any that have a comment about "untrusted issuer" or "unknown authority,"
right-click on the item and delete it.
5. Close Keychain Access, restart your computer, and launch the Mail application again.

lawen21, give these initial troubleshooting steps a try and let us know the results.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
