HomeKit - send alerts via email/text

Apple HomeKit - I have not found the option to send text/email alerts from the 'Home' app - for instance if door sensor is activated, send alert to my phone. All kinds of options to set up for scenes or Siri commands etc but want to use more for DIY home security to alert me to events.
