Can't get Wordle to work on my mac. Have updated to latest Java. Have added exceptions to the Java security list under preferences, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated!
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
As you can see, I did get it to work. Saving the PNG and printing do not work. I had to take a screen shot to get the image.
What is the exact problem you are having. I had to do the following:
1) Updated Java via System Preferences > Java > Update
2) Enabled Java via System Preferences > Java > Security > Enabled Java content in the browser > Check
3) Enabled Java on wordle.net by pasting your message > Go > Click to use Java > repaste message > Go
3a) Ignored the security warning because I had just updated Java 20 seconds ago by clicking "Later"
4) Then I had my Wordle. I could neither save nor print.
5) Now I have to restart my browser after disabling Java again
The first app I always recommend is LibreOffice. It's available for Linux, Windows and OS X, it's compatible with Office documents and it's free and open-source. Its interface is easy, so you won't have any problem.
I recognize these as the basic instructions. When I enter my text and hit "Go" nothing happens. I had already updated Java and followed all of the same steps that you suggested above. I may just try another tool instead of Wordle. Thanks.

What web browser are you using? What operating system version are you using. When you say "nothing happens" you mean that when you click "go", the screen doesn't change and the text entry field and go button look just like they did before?
I am using Safari.
OS X El Capitan version 10.11.3
When I say nothing happens, it means when I type "Go" after entering the text, the box where the wordle should appear is blank/empty and at the bottom it says: "Not working? Troubleshooting tips."
I have tried all of the tips as noted above, and nothing changes.
I am doing the work on my iMac desktop, not an iPad. Is this app compatible?
It is compatible with Windows, Linux and OS X. I don't believe it works on an iPad at all.
