Third party battery case

Does a third party battery case for iPhone SE will shorten my iPhone battery life span? Does apple sell an authorized battery case for iPhone SE?

Hi

When using electronic accessories with your iPhone, Apple advises ensuring that they are either genuine Apple products or that they have been certified as Made for iPhone under the MFi program. Certified items come with the "Made for iPhone" logo on them and/or on their packaging.

Using uncertified or counterfeit accessories may damage your iPhone and/or adversely affect operation.

Using an MFi-certified battery case will not harm your iPhone's battery.

The following battery cases for iPhone SE from mophie are MFi certified and available to buy from the US Apple Online Store (there is no Apple-branded battery case for your model):

Battery case should not impact iPhone battery life as long as you follow this guide line:

Assuming that your phone and battery case are both fully charged, it is recommended waiting until your phone has 20% battery left. When the phone’s in the red, enable the battery case and let the case do the heavy lifting. The phone requires more power to charge past 80%, so if you want to get the greatest battery boost from the battery case, it's best putting it back into standby mode until your phone battery is low again.
