Connecting printer to Airport Extreme

I have two printers connected to my Airport Extreme (one via ethernet cable and one via USB). My MacBooks can access and print to these printers just fine. My wife's Windows 8 based PC can see and print to the printer connected via ethernet but can not detect thus no print capability to the printer using USB. Has anyone encountered this issue and can provide a solution. Thanks.

When connected by Ethernet or by wireless a printer needs to be network ready and provides its services via a built-in print server in the printer itself. However, when a printer is connected to the USB port of an AirPort base station, it will use the base station's print server instead.

To help your Windows 8 PC "find" this printer, you should install Bonjour for Windows.
