Music widget - no recently played music

I noticed that my music widget isn't updating whatsoever. I have synced music with iTunes, and I don't have Apple Music (not sure if my problem is related to that...)

When I listen music on the Music app, the music widget will always say: no recently played music. I'm not sure if this has been all the time like that (since I downliaded iOS 10 in September) because earlier I didn't pat attention to that. I have read that a sync with iTunes would help with the problem, but I haven't tried yet... ( I also have been using Spotify lately). My other widgets work normally.

Have anyone else noticed this?

iPhone 6, iOS 10.2

Hmm, the problen is solved!

Not sure which one of these steps solved this, but here's what I did:

1. in the app, tap edit and then choose albums (red check mark besides it, so albums will be showing on the page.)

2. Listen one of your albums.

3. You can see the album picture in the music wiget!

I had only listened my tracks "as individuals", not through the album tab so I think that has been the " problem" 😀

Hi

when you listen to music through Songs, the albums won't show up in widget ! you should listen them from Albums Separately.

It was the issue.
