Attach email in iOS

Guys,

using the mail app is there anyway you can attach an existing email to a new one?

I know how to forward but would like to "copy and paste" another email (with attachments) into a new email.

We have an email thread running at work amongst several of us and I vowed to get some information. This I did and got an email back to me. I now want to continue the existing email thread but sharing the email with info I sought.

Easy on computer but on iPad?

cheers

THanks for the detailed instruction.

I have found something odd though. If i select a small amount if text I do indeed get the same menu ribbon with "Share" at the end, but if "select all" the choices reduce to copy, select all and look up! This seems to happen not just with select all but when a critical amount of text is selected.

If you don't want to copy /paste the new letter into the existing thread try this;

First,

Highlight the new email as if you're going to copy it.

Tap share from the choices you're given.

Tap add to iCloud Drive.

Next go to the existing thread.

Tap Forward.

Write "I got that info I was looking for."

Move the insertion point (blinking blue line) down one line.

Tap the screen after the insertion point.

Tap Add Attachment.

Chose the Email from iCloud Drive.

Add.

Send email.
