itunes download (64-bit W10) always stops at about 44.0 of 169MB

I installed ITunes fine on my older laptop, but now every time I try to download it (w10, 64-bit) on my new laptop the download simply stops at around 44.0 of 169MB. (I've tried countless times, always the same. :-( )

Thank you TT2. I'd originally been using Firefox, so I tried using Chrome instead. Same problem, but here it stopped repeatedly at about 33MB, and showed "Network Error". SO - I installed Safari, and eureka - the iTunes download went thru smoothly. :-)

(But strewth, what a bundle of hoops to have to go thru! :-[ )

If you have difficulty downloading the current iTunes installer file try; unticking the "Keep me up to date..." box, clearing your browser's cache, changing pop-up blocker settings, right-clicking or ctrl-clicking the download button, using an alternate browser, or using the direct links from here.

See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates if you have any further trouble with the installation.
