Hi - Ive posted this on another topic but essentially we are having the same problem.

Since the 10.2.1 update the screen is 20-30% dimmer when you have the brightness set to max. All manner of restarts etc doesnt fix the problem, so it looks like the update has made my once beautiful iPhone 6 screen as dull as the British weather !

Going to Apple store tomorrow to see if they can roll back etc.

This is getting silly now with this and the battery bodge up!

I have the same issue with my iPhone 6s 64gb MKQA2LL/A.

After upgrade to iOS 10.2.1, when battery goes below 75% and 50% - suddenly my display dims and I can't change it back. Brightness slider is on 100%, but screen is dim and it feels like 50%.

Below 75% battery it dims to 70% of brightness and below 50% battery it dims to 50% of brightness.

I already contacted few times with support. They didn't help me at all. Now we can't downgrade our phones to 10.2 to fix this issue. I already made bug report and sent it to apple, but they still didn't think that it is software bug (maybe little percent of users are affected?)

Besides here is a link to Forbes with this bug and links to another discussions:

P.S. I seriously will think about about switching to other phone, if such situations will happen in future.

Temp fix:

Go to:

Settings>Display & Brightness>Display Zoom>

Change to 'zoomed' and 'set'

Change back to 'standard' and set

Screen will be back to normal until it hits the 75 & 49%. Once it hits those, just do the fix again.

I also went to the Apple store here in sunny Bath (UK) and they didnt know anything about this issue and told me that my screen must have been replaced?!? Seeing as this issue only happened since the 10.2.1 update - I can safely say that the update is the issue. Whether this is on purpose or is a bug remains to be seen.

Totally useless!!
