Filling out an application for a foreign visa

I am trying to fill out an e-visa application on the Cambodian govt website. After I fill in the first page and click "next," the same page reloads and there's an error message: String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated. I cannot go forward. I had somewhat the same issue with my Vietnam visa application earlier, where the page would not advance (though no error code). I ended up doing a manual application there. I tried doing this from both my iMac and my iPad. Tried Safari, Foxfire and Chrome on the iMac. Nothing worked. Is there a setting I am missing?

I'm not having any trouble with that site Nancy, all the way to the payment page anyway.

Perhaps some of the information on the following may be helpful: If Safari doesn't load a page or webpage items are missing - Apple Support. Since you are encountering the same problem with multiple browsers using different devices though, the router you are using could be a factor. Try navigating that site from a different location, or perhaps resetting your router.

I suspect there is something wrong with the way the website is parsing input data. The data you are providing it will obviously be different than mine.

Have your daughter look over your shoulder while you input the information. The site may be objecting to something simple like a middle initial, punctuation or a space character (for example). Something along those lines could cause that unhelpful error message to appear.

Thanks, John. Application complete. Did it exactly the same as ever on my daughter's iMac (which used to be mine). She has a different internet provider, which may be the answer - except the application didn't work using my iPhone on 4G. So who knows! Odd that it happened with both my Vietnam application and Cambodia...I appreciate your help in trying to get this figured out!
