Northbridge (MCP) Vcore 0.28 V FAILED

It seems my MBP (2010) fan has been turning on a lot lately. No unusual usage or new software change for a while. I decided to run Tech Tool Pro 9 and lo and behold, I get this error: Northbridge (MCP) Vcore 0.28 V FAILED

Ok, now what? Is my machine failing here folks? I really love this thing. Literally been around the world a couple times with it. It's been a workhorse. What might it cost to repair if indeed it's an eventual fail issue. 😟

Can anybody shed light on the subject?
