I like to use Chrome as my browser. But when I do a Google search using Chrome it often switches to using Safari.
How can I stop this?

In Firefox, you go to the Firefox menu > Preferences > General > check the box next to "Always check if Firefox is your default browser". In Chrome there should be something similar and that should do it.
Safari>Preferences>General. What does the first statement say?
In Chrome > Settings > Make Chrome My Default Browser which is located at the bottom of the settings page.
Bummer. My issue is with Safari,. And it is checked NOT as my primary browser. Chrome is my browser.

Open System Preferences then select the General tab then select your preferred browser from the, "Default web browser" pop up menu.

Check Chrome for third party plug-ins.
