My iTunes library was a mess after an iTunes update. I believe after days of work including copy cds again it is now back. However I don't know how iTunes works in keeping my personal cds and cds I created along with purchases from iTunes so before I do anything else I want to back up my iTunes library on dropbox. But do not know how to do this. Can someone point me at instructions?? Thanks so much

Manage and back up your iTunes media library - https://support.apple.com/HT201625 - "Learn how to find, consolidate, and back up your iTunes media library." The instructions in the section "Back up your library and media files" are the ones you need to follow.
TThank you for the quick help. I followed some of the instructions to find the music then copied my iTunes music to a Dropbox folder, now Dropbox is uploading it. Since I have thousands it will take a very long time, but I will then have it in a couple places. Challenge will be to keep it in synch.
