Hey there,

Im trying to put two balancing straights into my chart and I tried that this way:

Problem is, that the chart actually looks like this:

Can somebody tell me why numbers does this? It seems like its not referring the second Y-values to the X-axis.

How do I fix this? Or is there an easier way to achieve my two balancing straights?

Sorry for my english, as you can probably tell by the pictures Im no native speaker^^. Hope you understood my problem, thanks for any help in advance.

Cheers, MrBean

Hi MrB'

Because you defined your Y2 value range on the table as G5 to G10, with the first Y2 value in G5, that value is paired with the first X value (0.1).

Here's an expanded view of the left side of your chart with some vertical lines added to show the X value alignment of the first four Y1 and Y2 values:

To make the Y2 values pair with the correct X values, you'll need to keep them in the same position in the range.

Here's one way to do that, using two columns added to the table to provide Y1 and Y2 values to the chart:

Note that all three ranges are the same length, and that no data points are shown for the empty cells in Y1A and Y2A.
