Color of heart rate in workout mode

When using the Workout App set to "Run", I have seen the heart rate displayed in dim red, bright red, and white. I have color vision problems, so red looks fuzzy. White looks crisp. I have a hard time seeing the HR when it is displaying red, especially if doing something hard like 95% MaxHR intervals. What do the different colors mean? Is it possible to set it to white all the time without setting the whole watch to grayscale?

Hi

When using the Workout app with the Workout View set to Multiple Metric, all metrics except one are displayed in white.

To change which metric is highlighted / displayed in a different colour, rotate the Digital Crown. When heart rate is selected, it is shown in red.
