If you mean the microphone that allows you to send a voice message in iMessage, to the best of my knowledge, you still can't turn that off. So, there is no "solution".

Yes, you are right, it doesn’t show up. Others say you have to turn Siri completely off. Ive Already sent several unintended audio messages.
This doesn’t seem to have been ‘beta’d’ enough.
Sending an unintended audio message is too easy of a mistake to make.

why is the microphone even being used if you're not tapping the microphone button in Messages?
It turns on when I move my phone. I'm not hitting the button, as you are implying.

I've certainly heard of people hitting it accidentally. However, it doesn't make any noise when it activates. Does this happen when you were using Messages and then put the phone down without either locking the screen or going back to the Home screen? Or does it happen at other times? Do you see evidence of a voice recording in a message bubble?
Settings → Privacy → Microphone
iMessage doesn't show up there.

don't tap the microphone to send a message.
Just tap the middle of the message field, type your message, then tap the send message (blue arrow pointing up)
To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to disable that feature.
