you can connect to 3G but not 4G LTE

Recently I got this new iPhone 7Plus. Prior to this I was using iPhone 3gs. Now, although my SIM card is 4G enable, but I am not able use 4G services on my new iPhone. It shows 3G only, have tried various steps in the settings changing to "Enable LTE / 4G" switch off / on, even reset my device and setup as new user. But still the issue is not fixed. Lastly, I got my SIM card changed but still no result. Could any body please advise on this?

Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data options → Enable LTE

Also, being able to use 4G is based on geographical location (if that area has 4G service)
