I've tried safe mode, option mode, etc, but every time I restart after a restore, the Disk Utility window comes back up and I can't get to my hard drive. Have I completely broken my MacBook Air? Do I need to partition the SSD drive?

Yes it seems the OS X partition has been deleted, letting only the recovery partition.

Sorry, posted too soon. I've tried to reinstall but couldn't so I'll have to partition first I think. I'm at work at the moment and my mac is at home but I'll try later.
Just erase the entire drive then reinstall.
Erase isn't an option, its greyed out.
What does the crash report says?
