iTunes Only Downloading 720p All Of A Sudden

Per the title, noticed that last week my old Mac Pro that has been downloading 1080p videos from iTunes stores for years now without issue, started downloading 720p content only. This is even when 1080p is selected and preferred High Definition (1080p) is selected. Even the iTunes Store Movie/TV Show page shows 'downloading 1080p' in the left pane BUT the video that is being downloaded is only 720p !

For reference this is an older system that is still running OS X 10.8.5 and an old version of iTunes (10.7) but this has never had any issues at all up until last week. On another machine everything downloads in 1080p fine so it appears that something has changed on the iTunes backend last week and with regards to 1080p downloads. Seems like something incorrectly has been changed on that side.

Seems really strange. Just wondering if others have seen this too.
