Can I get the colour of my iPhone changed?

I got a new iPhone 7 yesterday and I really love it and I am really happy. I don't want to sound picky or ungrateful but I kind of wish it was jet black rather than rose gold. I have always loved the look of the jet black. I didn't mention it at the time because my dad had surprised me with it when he came home and I didn't want to hurt his feelings or anything. But I can't help wishing that I had jet black because this phone will be with me for years and years.

Anyway I was wondering if it is too late to exchange it. The only thing is, I have already opened it and set it up and I am currently using it as my phone. Does this matter and can I still get it changed?

Apple has a 14 day (28 days in some countries) return period no questions asked.

If it was purchased less than 14 days ago you can return the iPhone, and they will refund you the cost of the iPhone. You can then use that money to get a jet black iPhone if one is in stock.

You might be able to exchange it.

You have 14 days from the date your received the iPhone to initiate an exchange.
