Iphone 7 plus camera shutter sound

I had the iphone 5s and i loved it! Just went to the iphone 7plus which was an adjustment but at least everything worked.

I can't seem to get the camera shutter sound, yes I like the sound and it won't work on the phone only in portrait mode which I don't use much. I also don't use the active camera allot so that's not the problem. I think we need another upgrade.... Any answers?

Hi

To adjust the volume of the camera shutter sound:

  • Use the Ringer and Alerts volume slider in Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
  • The camera shutter sound can also be muted using the Ring/Silent switch - check the position of the switch.

(In some countries, muting is disabled).

  • It is normal for there to be no camera shutter sound when taking Live Photos.

To toggle Live Photos on / off, tap the Live Photos icon above the camera viewfinder:

Like myself I have been driven mad by the fact of NO camera sound, with a brand new iPhone 7

Well low and behold my 11 year old grandson solved the problem.

First of all bring up the little black floater and tap on device and then you will see the bell.Make sure this is OFF with the white strike running over it.Then turn on the camera and make sure the live is OFF .Then bingo the camera sound is ON

again. What a relief after frustrating hours researching and trying every which way.Do make sure your ringer in on too.

I hope this will solve the problem for you .Neil
