Managing keynote storage

I Have a 16GIG iPad Air and I'm almost out of storage space on the device. I have plenty of iCloud storage available.

Over time, I have used several keynote files that I assume have been downloaded to my iPad. I don't need to access them any longer, but I don't want to delete them from my iCloud. I want more space on the iPad to use a large Keynote File.

Is there a way to manually move the files I no longer need to the iCloud storage to free up space on my iPad?

Greetings Joeswell,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you want to move several documents from the iOS device to iCloud. One way to do this is to use the iCloud Drive app on the iOS device. In Keynote you can use the Share button and select Move to... and select the presentation, then the folder you want the presentation in. If you Delete the presentation it will ask you to remove from this device or from all devices which includes iCloud Drive.

Open the iCloud Drive app on your device to view, open, and organize all your documents stored in iCloud. If the iCloud Drive app isn’t on your Home screen, you can get it from the App Store.

iCloud: Use iCloud Drive on your computer or iOS device
Take care.
