I recently started to get the Apple TV keyboard prompt on my iPhone repeatedly throughout the day (50 times a day). It used to only happen when i was entering passwords, etc. but now all the time. Any ideas as to why?

I would try to use the keyboard on the iphone

and see if it input to your appletv

if another appletv has entered your network without your knowlege

and it spend lots of time in a text input field that would explain the notification

Reinstall is always a last option and it is a cop out for "I don't know what is wrong, don't want to spend the energy and don't care"! 700 billion, perhaps some free customer support would be appreciated with some of that fortune.

Now, as for this problem, it only started after I logged into the stars app and was casting streaming video from my phone, or at least controlling it. I closed the app, restarted the iPhone. Still receiving notifications next going to restart the box and see. Will report back.

Again, it was stated as a last resort and if you had actually fully read through what was stated you would notice a reboot had been suggested beforehand. This is a user forum, you are not addressing Apple nor will they be reading this.

I have an overall comment! Why does apple always resort to a reset/restore fix for almost 90 percent of their hardware/software issues-bugs??? It's such an inconvenience and big PITA. I'm having the same issue and the only relevant solution would be for me to backup/reatore!!!!! Nice job apple we love u ......

This is happening to me as well in the last couple months. I'll go through periods where it's continuously dinging me with the prompt notification, even though nobody is watching the Apple TV 4th gen at the time. I liked this feature when it's appropriate for it to show, and would prefer not to disable the notifications. But since the notifications are completely broken now in terms of annoyingly popping up, I guess I'll have to disable them.

Hi. Settings > Notifications > Apple TV Remote Keyboard is part of iOS 10, not part of the Remote app. It only appears after the first time you use it. You can turn off that notification without affecting the Remote app.

I had the same problem as everyone else. Most of the answers said going into the iPhone and turning off notifications. My resolution is different and hopefully will help if someone doesn't want to turn off notifications. I went to my Apple TV > Settings > Remotes and Devices > Remote App > and removing all paired devices.

All false notifications have stopped. I rarely used the keyboard function on my Apple TV so I don't need to pair back. If I need it, I'll do it then.

I had the exact same thing happen. Seemed to be an easy fix. Go to Settings-Notifications-Apple TV Keyboard. Turn off "allow notifications"

Can't replicate on my system and haven't seen any other reports. The feature isn't available for iPad. Reboot iPhone, ATV and router. Try a reset on iPhone. Restore IOS.

Try turning off notifications and just install the AppleTV remote app.

I have the same issue with my iPhone 7. Really annoying. Any fixes?

Reset and restore IOS is not a resolution. It should be a last resort. Why is this happening on all IOS 10.3.3 devices?
