Xbox one and Earpods mic
Whenever i turn on the mic feature on my xbox one with the iphone 6 earpods I hear buzzing. I have since fixed my buzzing problem but the mic still won't work! Are my earpods defected?

Windows has a tough time recognizing TRRS headsets. Please see this link for an example of TRRS. If the headset works correctly, then Xbox ix not able to recognize it correctly. There are adapters which split the TRRS into a separate microphone and headset part - like this one .
