MBP 2017 Migration Hanging after File Transfer

New 2017 MBP (15 inch, the 500gb one). Migrated a 2011MBP to it from a AirPort TimeMachine (2011ish IIRC) back-up. Files transferred after a couple of hours- files and applications is what I noticed. Computer started to reboot and it has been at least half an hour with just the circle hash spinning. Only transferred about 150GB from the old drive.

Is it actually doing something? Late night here, been teased twice that this was about to be done. I'd really like to get this cleared up. Wife's computer and I'll catch **** if this migration gets bolluxed.
