Thunderbolt 3 to dual Display port adapter for new MacBook Pro

Goal: connect my HP 5K monitor to the new MacBook Pro with four Thunderbolt 3 ports.

The monitor requires two Display Port connectors. While Apple doesn't seem to offer such an adapter, there are several on Amazon though they all say that they are Windows only. Though, some reviewers claim that they are having no problems using these adapters on a Mac with Thunderbolt 3 ports.

I thought Thunderbolt 3 is a standard. If so, how could it be OS dependent? I'm considering StarTech because their components have been excellent on various Windows systems with nary a problem but I'm not locked into that brand. Yes I've checked with OWC's new dock. Not sure what they were thinking with their port selection but they only included 1 DisplayPort.
