Code redeemed, but no download

I managed to get through to redeem a code for a whole album, but no music downloaded. Now the iTunes store has recorded that my code has been redeemed, but I don't have the album. I have contacted support, but does anyone know if there is any quick fix. I'm pretty annoyed by this. Surely Apple should have had some contingency plans for all the people trying to redeem prezzies. My faith is waning.

I had the same problem with a game gift. Went through the process up until the download, received an unknown (405) error code, but no download of the game Sudoku. Today, it says that my gift number has been redeemed. No game. No gift. I hope that Apple can help quickly. I have other gift certificates to redeem as well.

Voila! If this happened to you... restart and open iTunes and go to the Store dropdown menu and choose Check for Purchases. I did that and my game downloaded. Now, I will try the game and see if I love it. Thought I would share.
