USB keyboard not recognized after 10.12.3 update

This morning I accepted the 10.12.3 update.

After a long install and reboot I attempted to log in.

However I was unable to enter my password as it seems the keyboard was not working.

I disconnected the keyboard and then a bluetooth keyboard setup window popped up.

I shut down (Hard), plugged the keyboard back in and started up again.

Ziltch.


This is the second time this has happened after an update.

I think last time I got it to work by disconnecting all USB devices except the keyboard and rebooting.
