My current cellular data period usage won't reset.

So I upgraded from the 5s to the 7 plus about two months ago and when I went in to the us cellular store to get my new phone, my current data period usage was 3.4 gb. So when I restored the backup onto my 7 plus the usage said 3.4 gb. I scrolled to the very bottom and pressed reset multiple times and every time I do it 3.4 gb pops back up into the current data period usage box.. and it never changes. It's very frustrating. Someone please tell me what is going on.

Hello Jbad67,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with resetting the cellular data usage. I understand how important that feature is to monitor usage.

I first recommend restarting the iPhone. Sometimes, that is all that is necessary to get everything working properly again. This help article will assist you to do that: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch .

If you are still experiencing the issues after both restarts, the next step for this would be restoring your device from a backup. Please choose the last backup that you can confirm that everything was working properly. This help article will assist you: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup . Be aware, any data added to the device after the date and time for backup that you choose to restore from, will be removed from your iPhone. I recommend making a backup of all your data as it is now, prior to completing this step: You can make a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch .

If you do not have, or prefer not to restore from an older backup, we can reinstall the iOS using this help article: If you can‘t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch . This step will not erase your data. Please pay close attention when you reach step 4 which says:

When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device. If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your device exits recovery mode, let the download finish, then repeat these steps.

Once your iOS is reinstalled, test if the issue is still occurring. Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.
