Whenever starting a download of iTunes6464Setup.exe from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ ist starts.
But after a few seconds (and 6 of 169MB loaded) the ThankYou-Page opens and the download aborts. What went wrong?
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium with Google Chrome V55. Same happens with Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.

Today it worked. Using the same settings as before it must have been a problem with the Apple-Server or the internet.
By the way. The "Thank You" page came as before but downloading did not abort this time but completed the task.
If you have difficulty downloading the current iTunes installer file try; unticking the "Keep me up to date..." box, clearing your browser's cache, changing pop-up blocker settings, right-clicking or ctrl-clicking the download button, using an alternate browser, or using the direct links from here.
