It took me a few D'OH moments to figure this out too!! So frustrating. The pairing is actually confusing on the JBL Flip 3 itself.

- There is a lit-up "bluetooth on" button - BUT! -

- There are also four plastic integral buttons of the same color as the casing, two of which are the volume (so find those). Right beside the volume is a bluetooth button, very hard to see! There is also a call connect button.

SO:

"Is your computer plugged in?" 😉 j/k

1) Open Macbook Systems Preferences / Bluetooth.

(Or if you have the BT emblem in the handy toolbar at the top, click it and choose "Open Bluetooth Preferences").

This will start the discovery process.

2) Turn on the Flip 3.

3) Press the blue-lit bluetooth button.

4) Then press and hold for 3 seconds the D'OH NEARLY INVISIBLE bluetooth pairing button.

5) Now, on your MacBook Bluetooth Preferences, the Flip 3 should show up with the "PAIR" option beside it.

6) Click "PAIR" to pair them. 🙂

6) Enjoy your music!
