Shortcut: play from beginning?

I accidentally hit CTRL + Ø and it jumped back to the beginning.

So to recap:

help files not helpful

google couldn't help either

but accidentally I found it.

Conclusion:

bring back the button for this feature

find a more accessible and less obscure shortcut

make it universal across languages (we are not used to having different shortcuts depending on language)

Overall you almost get the impression someone at Apple thought "let's see if they can crack this one he he"

There are a few problems with this. First is that I can't get iMovie to react at all when pressing ALT + SHIFT + 7 which should be the backslash on a danish keyboard, but the bigger problem is that it would also require me to deselect the clip that I am modifying at the moment or working on at the moment [play the SELECTED event, clip ...].

I'm talking about the feature we find in Garageband and other apps that simply starts playback from the beginning regardless. Anyone working with iMovie instead is forced to point the mouse precisely at the beginning of the track each time.

I don't understand how something like this can be going on in 2017 with all the years of experience in making these types of multimedia apps.

Appreciate your help very much Geoff, but nothing is working on my end. However I'm very happy to hear that it's at least supposed to work and that Apple has at least added a shortcut for starting playback from the beginning, the help text obviously confused me to the degree that I thought they had not added such a shortcut.

If only they had not removed the button for this feature.
