iPhone 7 heating up on camera side with minimal use

Hi

Apple advises that it can be normal for your iPhone to become warm when using it (and also in other situations including when charging it, first setting it up and restoring from a backup).

The exterior acts as a cooling surface, transferring heat from inside the iPhone to cooler air outside.

Apple also notes that charging your iPhone when it is inside certain styles of case may generate excess heat, which can affect battery capacity. If you notice that your iPhone gets hot when you charge it, Apple advises that you should remove it from its case before charging.

If you are concerned that your iPhone gets warmer than it should do, I suggest that you contact Apple Support, make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider with a view to having it checked and, if recommended, serviced:

Thanks Jonathan UK for your guidelines. I am from Pakistan and there is currently no apple store. And yes i am aware that I am not talking to apple support here. Just wanna add a comment to highlight the issue.

I have the same problem only while i am making whatsapp viedo call or messenger video call.i wonder why the camera side is really overheating compare to the other parts.

Follow the same instructions in my previous reply, including contacting Apple Support, making a Genius Bar reservation or visiting an Apple Authorised Service Provider if necessary.

I am facing the same issue . I have Iphone 7 plus product red and it has not been even a week of using it and this phone has issues of heating particulary near the camera area and on the sides . This makes me regret that why the **** I bought it .

I do have the same heating issue on my new Iphone can some one provide the insight into this. The heating of phone is to much that at that time i am not able to hold and hear the phone.
