I recommend from my use of Macbook's that you use the Macbook pro for the things you require it to do as I've heard that the latest Macbook air's crash when they are used a lot. All in all for your use the Macbook pro would be great for you.
I've played with the laptops already I love them both. I like that the air is light but I also like the extra power the mac has. That is why I am asking the question. Trying to get people's perspective on these two macs.
I recommend you to go to Apple Store and touch them and ask about products to store staffs.
I'm sure they can help your decision for which is better for you.
