how do i stop my open water swim workout pn my watch when my fingers are wet? i lnkw the procedure, butcotcdoesnt work when my fingers are wet.

It's for a watch v2, using the workout app. I've followed procedures exactly but the screen won't respond to a wet finger. I can't wipe across to the stop screen.

I don't have my phone with me of course, so Siri is no help.

Hi

To end your swimming workout and save it:

First pause your workout:

  • Press both the side button and Digital Crown at the same time.

Once your fingers and the screen have been dried, Water Lock can then be turned off and the workout ended and saved:

  • Turn the Digital Crown to unlock the screen and clear any water from the speaker.
    • Your watch makes a sound, and you might feel water on your wrist.
  • Swipe right and tap End.

Jonathon, that's the best comment I have had , as it is honest! Thankyou. You also said press both side buttons to pause the workout. If I do that the time and distance keep going. Shouldn't the pause stop them and record the pause time and location? That might work as a workaround.

BTW at least we now know the open water swim app is ineffective, a real pity as he gps is so good.

That doesn't help me. 2 buttons just brings up the application. The point is being able to start , stop and pause the application when you are in the water, or just out. So your fingers are wet.

I tried what you said this morning, and the gps and the timer just keep on going, so you have no idea what the workout stats were, which is the whole point of the app.

The buttons need to be used for this purpose as waiting to dry my fingers and the phone will occur minutes and meters from the actual workout end location.

The thing is none of these instructions work the watch and/ or your fingers are wet.

I can stand at the waters edge for 3or 4 minutes swiping every which way, and not getting a response.

It's being wet that is the problem. And it's an open water app. Supposedly designed for the open water.

So the question still stands.

How to do whatever you say I need to do with a wet watch, and a wet finger?
