Google software update agent keeps popping up on my screen

Hi, Have got a popup crash report that keeps poping up on my screen called Google Software update Agent Quit Unexpectedly, this even pops up when I am not online, it is really bugging me, I have tried to find it in the library folders but cannot find it, have just updated to Sierra thinking this would resolve the problem but it has not, I was on Lion OS X before this when the problem started.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

It seems Google Software Update is a retired program. Here it states that it has been removed for you but obviously it hasn't.

EtreCheck will show the locations where that software is installed and you can remove it manually. Please download and run EtreCheck, created by one of own helpers here in ASC. It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information.
