Locked MPB with Server, won't unlock.

I manage the household computers with MacOs Server.

I locked a couple of the kids computers from the Profile Manager when they lost computer privileges.

Now I can't unlock them.

There is no unlock method available in the Profile Manager.

When I enter the passcode I created into the MPB.... it fails and results in the MPD going into disabled mode.

Server bricked my MPB.

How do I recover it?

Does it have a padlock and then an area to enter the pw below? Or is it a padlock asking for a 4 digit pin? The latter is an EFI lock - your local Apple Store can unlock that for you. As for the former, there may be a work around if you dig into Google but I'd imagine that if an Apple Store can unlock an EFI lock that they can unlock the other unless it's a FileVault lock. Could it be your FileVault key? If so, do you have it? Maybe give that a try.

Sorry for your troubles. I've been there, I know how frustrating it is, trust me. Thanks for the positive responses. Wish I could do more to help.

If I let boot run, I get six boxes and have to enter a six digit number.

If I use any key combo to boot I get a text box.

When I locked the computer from Server I set up a password, not a pin.

When I enter the password it won't unlock.

When I look at the device in Server Profile Manager there is no option to unlock the device.
