iTunes causes Windows 7 64 to crash

Hello,

I use Windows 7 64 bit and after the last updates, iTunes causes my computer to crash badly. So badly I cannot do anything, neither to start the Task manager. Only option is to power it off with the power button and then start again. It takes 2-3 days after a fresh boot to force Windows into a non-responding mode.

I did check my event viewer and its the Bonjour service. I had to remove iTunes but now cannot literally use my iPad...

Is there a fix and why do Apple offer only their latest piece of unfinished software, and no older roll-back versions? I think when I used it with up to 11.3.0 it was stable and I need a stable version.

Not a set of symptoms I recall seeing before. Does this problem happen once you try to launch iTunes? Try right-clicking the iTunes icon in your start menu and click Run as administrator then immediately hold down Ctrl+Shift and continue to hold until you get a prompt about launching iTunes in Safe Mode, click Continue, then close iTunes and reopen normally. Does the issue persist? If so then as suggested above reinstall the last version that worked successfully for you, making sure to fully remove all of the components of the current installation first.
